Did you know a good backbend, or heart opener, takes both flexibility and a strong core to perfect?!
This 1.5-hour backbends yoga workshop is aimed at both beginners and advanced yogis alike and only a maximum of 2 students will be taken to ensure more hands-on 1-2-1 tuition time!
Flexible people tend to love them but often need more core, whereas stiff people tend to hate them but actually could really use them to get loose! In this backbends yoga workshop, we explore different approaches for different body types, as well as teaching you all the necessary techniques to develop your backbends safely and with confidence.
Please note: we would advise you not to eat too close to class, try to leave a 2-hour window!

More about our Backbends Yoga Workshop
This backbends yoga workshop will begin with a good warm-up, opening up the spine, chest and shoulders as well as getting that core fired up and engaged. Once warm, you will be guided through 10 different backbends with progressional options, gradually building in intensity, before cooling down and stretching off to finish.
Backbends can counteract the action of our everyday activities such as sitting at a desk, driving or bending to pick up and lift kids or objects. They are also invigorating and energising movements too, they build strength and power in the legs, core, arms and back muscles, as well as stretching the hip flexors and help open up the shoulders and chest, an area where lots of us hold tension.
